Our Fire Safety Assessment Service

Fire safety is extremely important for all buildings and facilities in Ireland both in terms of protecting people from harm as well as safeguarding commercial interests.

A Fire Safety Assessment is a comprehensive review of a building or facility's fire safety measures to ensure that they meet the necessary fire legislative requirements

The purpose of a Fire Safety Assessment is to identify any potential fire hazards and implement measures to minimise the risk of fire and ensure the safety of the building's occupants, others nearby and subsequent commercial interests of the building owner and occupiers.

Fire Safety Assessment in Ireland

In Ireland, the Fire Services Act 1981-2003 and subsequent regulations outlines the legal requirements for fire safety in buildings and facilities.

This order places a responsibility on building owners, employers, and other relevant parties to ensure that their premises are safe from fire hazards.

A Fire Safety Assessment can be an important part of this process, as it can help identify any areas where improvements are needed to meet these legal requirements.

A Fire Safety Assessment in Ireland typically includes an inspection of the building's fire safety measures, such as fire alarms, smoke detectors, fire extinguishers, emergency lighting, and fire escape routes.

The Fire Safety Assessment will also consider factors such as the, occupancy levels, and any specific fire risks associated with the building's use.

Other factors will be the management of the building and systems and procedures in place both to prevent fire and then to manage the fire risk, should an incident occur.

Fire Safety Assessment Report

Based on the findings of the Fire Safety Assessment, a fire safety report will be produced, outlining any areas where improvements are needed. This may include recommendations for additional fire safety measures.

Fire Safety Assessment Professional

It is important to ensure that a Fire Safety Assessment is carried out by a competent and experienced fire safety professional.
